Exciting Gabriel Jesus will need time to adapt at Manchester City, claims Clichy

The French defender is convinced that the Brazilian will prove to be a fine addition once he has settled and is expecting 'many goals'.

Manchester City defender Gael Clichy is confident Gabriel Jesus will be a success in the Premier League, but has warned the Brazil international will need time to adapt to his new surroundings.

The 19-year-old has built a reputation as one of the most exciting youngsters in world football after scoring four goals in his first six Brazil caps and helping Palmeiras to the title in his homeland last year.


Clichy is looking forward to teaming up with Jesus at the Etihad Stadium as City look to breathe new life into their faltering title bid.

"When a team like City bring in a player he is a quality player, so it is always good to have someone coming in, fresh legs and a new body," Clichy was quoted as saying by the Manchester Evening News.
