It was reported that Chelsea Rowe driving on the wrong side of the road when she hit officer Paul Briggs off his motorbike as he rode to work.
She has now been jailed for one year after causing the catastrophic accident near the Birkenhead Tunnel in Merseyside, England in July 2015.
The accident reportedly left the officer in need of round the clock care, as his family watches him battle for his life on a daily basis.
She admitted to the crime, accepting the blame for her actions while apologizing for the mistake that is going to cost her a year behind bars.
