Chelsea reject Lille's Batshuayi offer

The Belgian is yet to make a Premier League start since his arrival in the summer and is the subject of interest from a number of European clubs.

Chelsea will reject an approach from Lille for striker Michy Batshuayi, according to reports from the Standard.

 

The Belgian has made 11 Premier League appearances for the Blues following his £31.5 million switch to Stamford Bridge in the summer, but is yet to make a single league start for the club.


His lack of playing time has led to speculation surrounding his future, with a switch back to Ligue 1 supposedly now on the cards, though Chelsea are keen to hang onto him as backup to Deigo Costa.

The Spain international was suspended for the club's Boxing Day meeting with Bournemouth, however, and Conte selected Eden Hazard in a centre-forward role instead of starting Batshuayi.
