Festus Onu rewards Enugu Rangers players

The Flying Antelopes' board chairman has handed the cash gift he promised the players for winning the league.

Board chairman of Enugu Rangers, Festus Onu has redeemed the two million naira he pledged to give the Flying Antelopes’ players for emerging as the last season’s league champions.

Onu redeemed the promised cash on Sunday through the acting Board Chairman, Steve Oruruo at the victory dinner organized for the players and officials of the club meant to thank them for the league title won last season and to urge the team to repeat the feat in the coming season.

The Board Chairman charged the players to remain focused, discipline and committed in sustaining the winning mentality ahead of the new season while expressing that the players and the technical crew must justify the financial and moral motivation of the Enugu Government on the team with good performances in the coming season.

He also pointed out that Rangers have no excuse not to beat FC Ifeanyiubah in the Charity Cup contest on Wednesday so as to open the way for another trophy laden season.
