The Ligue 1 side are determined to land their prize despite West Ham's demands, with the player determined to return home for family reasons.
Marseille are undeterred in their chase for wantaway West Ham star Dimitri Payet and will return with a third bid, reports Sky Sports.
Payet's former club have emerged as genuine contenders to sign the 29-year-old, but Goal revealed that West Ham rejected a second bid and demanded £30 million.
Reports indicate that Marseille came up £11m and then £10m short of the Londoners' valuation, with Payet made to train with the club's Under-23 side on Wednesday.
The France international has already turned down offers from China as well as other Premier League clubs and wants a return to Ligue 1 for family reasons.
