The experienced defender was released by Gor Mahia this month after failing to impress following his move from Ingwe.

Former AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia defender Jackson Saleh has been training with Western Stima but is yet to be confirmed.

The experienced center back was released by the fifteen times champions this month after failing to impress following his move from AFC Leopards. Stima chairman Laban Jobita says the player has to convince the technical bench that he deserves the contract.

"We all know Saleh is a good player, but as a club we have to be cautious when handing this players contracts. We might sign him without knowing he has an injury, or maybe he is unfit. So as a club we decided to give him enough time to prove he is okay,” Jobita told Goal.

"If it happens that he is fine and fit, we will not hesitate to sign him. We are aiming on strengthening this team and making it competitive."

Western Stima has just completed the signing of Moses Arita from Muhoroni Youth on an 18-month contract.
