The Niger Tornadoes winger is hoping to have bigger year in the new NPFL season
Niger Tornadoes winger Angel Wilfred Ammeh is aiming to improve on his all round performance for the club in the 2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) campaign.

The skillful winger popularly known by his admirers as "Di Maria'' is already looking forward to the next campaign scheduled to get underway on 14th January, 2017.

"Last season was a bit fair for me but there is still room to improve and getter better," Di Maria told Goal.

"The year of consolidation is 2017. I want to have a bigger year than last year and keep building on it into the future.

The Niger Tornadoes team has been beefed up with some good players and Di Maria has welcomed the competition in the squad.

"Champions are made through fierce competition. If you want to be in a great side and have a chance of success, you need competition for places," he added.

"The team has been reinforced which makes it good for us all. It is going to be really tough to get into the team. Players need to be performing not just in games, but at training every day to make sure they earn their places on match days.

''My dream is to take my chance and help the team to soar to greater heights."
